Start up your day with a hearty morning breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. we believe that most people must have heard of this saying: 早餐吃得饱,午餐吃得好,晚餐吃得少.

Breakfast is the secret to staying healthy. It is important to take your breakfast for you wouldn't want to feel lethargic for the rest of the day... Eating a good breakfast sets the tone for the day so do not overlook this important meal despite how busy you are in the morning!

As such, I was out early in the morning with sok and wk for a kfc hearty breakfast. We ordered a variety of breakfast meals. With a.m platter meal, a.m american twister as well as a.m waffle meal! On top of that, we also shared a box of 6 egg tarts to complete our meal! (tsktsk)
Anyway, this was my first time trying the egg tarts. Just one word to describe KFC's egg tarts: OMG! It's thumbs up!

Sumptuous breakfast meals to welcome your day!

Piping hot egg tarts!!! it wasn't that hot though when we ate it for we didn't eat it straight when first bought. Yummy kfc egg tarts which are finger licking good!
we were preoccupied in our own conversation that we forgotten to capture a snapshot together. Nevertheless, below is an old photo of ours to complete this entry.

i'm like a tourist...

Apologies netizens for this late entry... i was kept busy with school assignments and preoccupied with some other stuffs for the past 2 weeks, thus having no time to update this blog of mine. Dated back on 6th November, i went on a learning journey with my uni class. We reached our destination early in the morning. While waiting for all to arrive, my clique and i were busy snapping away right in front of Victoria Memorial Theatre. It's nice having Victorial Memorial Hall as the background. With famous Sir Stamford Raffles statue standing behind us...

Nice shots captured with vivian for the day! I always love taking photos under the sun because somehow it makes one's face appear flawless in these photos.

That's with Shu wen & Shu hui!

oOps just realized i've forgotten to take a photo with ling here. Well, but we do have our full clique photo taken with Sir Stamford Raffles, haha.

Along the way, we stopped over at different sites. We were told about the different history sites in Singapore. There was a story behind each of them. For once, i feel as though i'm like a tourist. Fancy having lived in Singapore almost near to 20 years, i'm rather clueless towards the history of my own country. (i'm not a history student, tsktsk!) However, given my short attention span when it comes to the talk on history stories behind Singapore, my attention was easily turned to something else in our vicinity, haha! Frankly speaking, the one thing that i'm anticipating right from the start is the tea time break at yakun whereby we'll get to savour traditional coffee/tea and toast bread.

Still, i paid attention to some parts which interest me...

BREAK TIME! Time to chill @ Yakun:)

As we moved from one site to another, i captured some nice captivating shots along the way. Below are the ones...

My friends feel that this photo doesn't look like it's somewhere in Singapore. It looks more like England though... If only...

Guess where was this taken?
Right outside of yakun.

The whole learning journey took about 3 hours plus from morning till noon. Soon after that, me and my classmates proceeded to a nearby shopping mall for lunch. We went into this Japanese ramen restaurant and there we have a variety of side dishes (as you can see from below pictures) and shared a bowl of AKA Ramen among 7 peeps. Personally, i feel that the side orders are only so-so, well but as for that bowl of ramen, it tastes good. i love its ramen soup!

Here's a photo of our small class. There are still few other classmates seated at the other table...

CHEERS!!!

It was a tight schedule for me that day. Soon after lunch, i've to rush down for tuition first before meeting up with my besties during evening for our usual chill-out weekend's nights... Can you believe it? I actually had ramen twice in that day. One from that Japanese restaurant and another one from Ajisen. In comparison, i prefer the Japanese restaurant's one to Ajisen's. On the flipside of the coin, i feel that Ajisen's side dishes taste much better. I'll definitely go along with either my favourite white fish or chicken wings. HOWEVER... Too much ramen in a day actually makes one puke! lol.
That's for now.

Liese gives your hair a new look!

Sponsored Review

This isn't happening! I couldn't believe my luck:) Recently, i signed up for a challenge on facebook and to my surprise, i was one of the 100 lucky bloggers chosen to participate in this Liese Bloggers' Challenge! Wheeee! Saturated with happiness upon receiving this piece of good news from the samplestore.
The parcel was couriered right to my doorstep. (How efficient of samplestore to do so in less than two days' time!!) I was sponsored with 1 hair treatment + 1 hair styling product by them to test and review on.

Photobucket
Here's a zoom-in image of the two liese products sponsored by thesamplestore.
The blue one is the liese clear cube wax and the pinkish "spray" bottle is the liese juicy shower!

Photobucket

If you're one with frizzy and dry hair, fret not. Your problem can be solved now. Liese is here to your rescue. Ever since i started using this product one and a half weeks ago, I'm beginning to see better improvements to my hair. In particular to the liese juicy shower which helps to tame my frizzy hair. Initially there were damages done to my hair after frequent rebonding and dye. Even the normal conditioner itself which i've been applying all these while doesn't help much in taming my hair. However, after using liese juicy shower, it leaves my hair frizz-free over a longer period of time. With that i do not have to worry about having frizzy and dry hair during phototakings.

Another part which i like best about this juicy shower is that it gives off a pleasant berry scent when sprayed. Not only does it quenches my dry hair and smoothens my frizziness, my hair also becomes smoother overtime.

Have you guys ever tried styling your hair before? If i didn't remember wrongly, i did try styling my hair back in my younger teenage years purely out of fun. That was a few years back. After rebonding, i hardly even do so for fear of spoiling my hair since rebonded hair is already straight. When i was first introduced to liese clear cube wax, i had this impression that it is similar to those kind of wax outside whereby it's sticky and it makes your hair hard after applying so as to keep it in shape. I detest those gel and wax whereby they've a sticky feel after use and the worst part of it is if one were to style wrongly at first attempt, he/she will have to spend so much time to clear them off your hair. Liese clear cube wax is a different thing. It has a non-sticky feel which i like best about it. It is so easy to style and the wax helps to tame your hair by leaving it frizz-free and straight whole day. Not only that, it also gives off a fruity scented smell. With that, i wouldn't mind styling my hair every now and then.

Liese juicy shower and Liese clear cube wax are my best partners now. They're what which i really need now to help maintain my rebonded hair. Frizzy and dry hair, off you go!

Halt! This is not the end of the post because next up, i'm going to show you a step by step hair treatment and styling tutorial with regards to the usage of Liese juicy shower and Liese clear cube wax.

Post-"exam" celebration

It's been a long wait... it's been long since we last had a good meal together. Back in the past, we used to have good times after school whereby we'll proceed to the mall nearest to our school for a good lunch. This semester is so hectic and we hardly have any long breaks, let to say have a good meal at jp! On top of that, the pile of assignments is stacking up each day at the beginning of this semester. I'm almost suffocating from all these stress for the past few horrendous weeks. Looking on the brighter side, thankfully a test is now over and more assignments completed as time flies. This calls for a mini celebration after surviving through the ordeal!

With that, me and my uni clique went for a mini celebration at jp and pampered ourselves with good food to reward our hard works. We went back Ambush(One of our favourite eateries) and indulged in a sumptuous lunch. Finally some good relaxation time together:D i miss those fun days with them... (In particular to those addictive k-sessions)

i simply love my thai basil salmon, especially the salmon and sauce! It's really appetising! Probably during my next visit, i'll try out the bratwurst sausages! Looks appealing on my friend's plate! haha:)

Alright, just a quick post here! Tomorrow is going to be a long day in school. I need ample rest to keep myself awake in class. Goodnight world:)

That's for now.

Food Is Happiness

Everything with fries
Photobucket
In less than a week's time, i met up with that two besties of mine and this time round, we visited "Everything with fries" over at Holland Village for dinner. Have you heard of this western eatery before?:) "Everything with fries" is well-known for their sandwiches! Also, you've got to try their strawberry and nutella milkshake if you ever drop by this cafe restaurant!
Photobucket
This is how the eatery looks like. The inner decor of "Everything with fries" restaurant:)

A group of ACJC students were laughing away loudly among their own conversations in there. I find it rather disturbing at first. However, on second thought, their behaviour reminds me of the time when i was out with my drama peeps back in my jc life. we were once like them... Laughing uncontrollably in a cafe, not mindful of our own images. We're always the centre of attention and will be in the limelight whenever we gather together, haha! Frankly speaking, i miss those times badly...

Photobucket

Anyway, back on the food topic, this was ordered by sok. Her order was a pork chop sandwich meal with curry flavour fries as well as caesar salad.

Photobucket

As for me, i'm not totally new to "Everything with fries" for that day was my second visit there. I kept to my preference and ordered back the same meal which i ordered the first time. Mine is known as Tandoori chicken sandwich meal with sour cream & onion fries and caesar salad! I only had a change of fries from curry to sour cream. And the conclusion is: i prefer the curry one to the sour cream. Wk ordered the same sandwich meal as me but with a different flavour of fries(curry) and coleslaw instead. According to him, he preferred our caesar salad to his own coleslaw. Another vote from Sok! They mentioned that the caesar salad was crunchy! I'm not really a veggie lover though... In the end, the caesar salad went into my friend's mouth instead, haha!

As you can see from the above photos, it's rather a huge portion and definitely fulfilling and worth the price! If it is your first-time visit there, i will recommend you the tandoori chicken for i find that this is their speciality there.

i always love visiting Holland Village for there are many nice eateries there where one gets to savour varieties of food. Apart from this "everything with fries" cafe restaurant, there is also this stall(can't remember it's name) which sells yummy katong laksa and nasi lemak. Also, you can easily find a nice ambience cafe in holland village and chill in there. Speaking of all these, my mouth is drooling over these palatable delights! Food is happiness! tsktsk. At the same time, i'm anticipating the day after our test when me and my uni clique will have a mini celebration at jp. We ought to reward ourselves with good food for our hard works!

Way to go, peeps!!!

That's for now. Time to turn in for the night. Goodnight world!

Saturday, October 2, 2010

we were all once young and had been through the six years of primary school education life, experiencing the joy of celebration during this yearly children's day occasion. 1st of October rings a bell in one's head for it's a special day which every child will look forward to. I admit i'm one of them back then. Saturated with happiness upon receiving children's day presents from respective class teachers. The excitement comes in when you're unwrapping your present, all ready to reveal the surprise gift in your pack. That was some years back since i last departed from this age group.

Well, there's a change of status now. i'm no longer the one receiving presents from teachers, but rather, a teacher who gives out presents. Frankly speaking, i have never expected myself to be a teacher one day and i'll be embarking on a new teaching career in the next few years down the road. The obstacles ahead are not visible at current but there are bound to be challenges. Since i've chosen this path, i am all ready to take on any challenges in future and work towards my goal in building a successful career. I hope i'll be able to meet my own expectations at the end of the day. Trust that it'll be a good experience thereafter.

Way to go!

Just look at the kids' happy faces. Kids are naive, innocent and they lead almost a carefree life every single day unlike adults. It's good to be young for it's stress-free during childhood life. We all once belonged to that age group and i believe you still remember how it feels like being a child.

Well, anw i'm still young at heart. (tsktsk) I'll not let my youthful years go to waste as there are still many more things awaiting me.

Hereby, i wish all my students a Happy Children's Day. Enjoy while it lasts.

That's for now.
