Hang on there

Life has never get any better ever since the commencement of this semester. With increasing workloads each day, it's almost impossible for you to continue slacking any further. Unlike the previous semester when i almost led a carefree life in school, this semester is a huge difference. Year two's workloads are much more demanding and overwhelming. Worst still, the modules taken this semester have lots of contents for you to digest and before you knew it, report assignments, presentations are nearing datelines! How on earth can we have sufficient time to accomplish our tasks within such a short time frame?!? Seriously, this is not a good life.
Fast paced, stressful and hectic lifestyle.
This is part of our curriculum and there is no way we can avoid. No doubt the journey is going to get tougher, but we just have to hang on there and give one another the support. Things will be fine as you go on. I've just completed my first presentation for AED201 module. I think my group did ok for most of our audiences were engaged in our Amazing Race activity. On the flip side of the coin, there were also some flaws pointed out by one or two audiences which my group has overlooked. Seriously speaking, given the time constraint as we were the first group to present, it's kind of rush to complete everything perfectly within a week. I guess we did our best. Prof said he'll take into consideration we're the first group to present and maybe be a little more lenient. i hope so. Still, overall it was not too bad a start. Anddd finally one is down!

Amidst all these stress, i'll find my own ways to de-stress. You have to balance your life and not just spend your time solely on studying. i believe most of your out there will agree this fact with me. For myself, i'm always glad i have wonderful friends as companions on a weekend night. For once, i'll forget all my troubles and stress when with them.

Thank you guys♥

God bless all.

Bem vindo ao Nando's

Photobucket

Thankfully to this public holiday due to Hari Raya, it was another happening outing day with that two besties of mine. We sticked on to the plan of visiting Nando's restaurant for lunch. It was a first time visit to Nando's eatery for the three of us. All along i had this impression that Nando's eatery sells Indian food. I was wrong. In fact, they sell mexican food! Nando's restaurant is of high popularity in Bugis given the long queue. Wk was queueing for us while me and Sok went off to Iluma for a short while to get some koi bubble tea to quench our thirst.

After queueing for about 20minutes...

we finally got our seats!

Wk ordered a 1/4 chicken with two sidelines main course under the chicken meals section with an add-on soup. As you can see in the below photo, it definitely looks enticing for meat lover. Choice of sidelines to choose from are: peri peri chips, old style chips, Mediterranean rice, coleslaw, peri potato salad...etc.

As for me and Sok, we shared this Espetada Rustica under their signature dishes.

There are 4 pieces of chicken thighs stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes and skewered with red onions, served with two sidelines. We chose the same two sidelines for both main courses. The peri peri chips and mediterranean rice. Looks tempting huh? Especially the four big pieces of juicy chicken thighs.

One can also choose from extra hot peri peri to hot peri peri to mild peri peri to lemon and herbs. And according to them, you should start with lemon and herb if it's your first time at Nando's, and go for mild peri peri if you're feeling adventurous or evoke tears of joy with Extra Hot Peri Peri. we went for the mild peri peri. We would say Nando's food have their own unique taste(sour spicy). It's more like a mexican dish as mentioned earlier with a piquant taste of strong spices. This wasn't so much to our liking. Perhaps we're just not used to this kind of taste. However, it was not bad a try!

After this filling lunch plus a hearty breakfast in the early morning, we went on to shop around Bugis. To be exact, i'm just accompanying my friend for some shoppings. I'm no longer that fascinated with shopping ever since i returned back from Bangkok. The reason being i've already bought most of my tops, bottoms from there at a cheappp price! No point shopping that often in Singapore now since the stuffs here are more costly. Furthermore, my wardrobe is almost full! I guess if time allows, i would love to return back bkk next year and bring home another bag of clothings to feed my wardrobe that will last for the next one year. Yearly shopping rather. tsktsk.
Anyway, back to my bugis trip. Despite we were all full, somehow we got tempted by Chewy Junior's and ended up having small quite bites of sugar sticks before heading back home.

we're cam-whores:)

If only time freezes at this moment.

New semester has commenced. It's once again the hectic and stressful school life whenever a new semester begins. This first part of year two is going to be a short semester. Time is tight, yet we have many tasks on hand to meet datelines. i shall endure. Freedom will be here in another 11 weeks's time.

That's for now.

Post-exam syndrome

A deep breath of freedom. No doubt, we've regained freedom! It's finally the end of our exam for this semester. The chapter is closing. Time flies, in the blink of an eye, we have just completed year one of our university life. This has been the long-awaited moment. To step out of the exam hall and from then on, free from worry and stress for the next four months.

Of course, we ought to celebrate this wonderful moment. To unwind, we went ambush to savour nice treats followed by k-session at safra. This seems to be a norm for we flowers. A post-exam syndrome of endless fun of k-session! i took back my all-time favourite salmon pasta over at ambush. Instead of clam chowder, i decided to go for desserts, tiramisu this time round. It was really tempting to see shu wen had that back then. well, but clam chowder is equally nice too! Ambush is one of my favourite restaurants despite the fact that yesterday was only the second time that i've been to. The reason being its a nice ambience with delightful food , and more importantly, their services have left an indelible mark in us.

Cravings for desserts? You can go for a try for this tiramisu at ambush! sweet sensations! Tiramisu indulgence. And with my all-time favourite there, the wild salmon shell pasta served with thai basil sauce. This is my strong recommendation there. Especially the thai basil sauce; it's very appetizing. Especially if you're a salmon-lover as well...You won't resist the temptation to order a second time during your next visit! erm, but i guess i will go for a new menu dish during my next trip there. i have an urge to try their bratswurt sausage. So, here i am, going to run through a whole collection of photos from yesterday's k-session. Vivian is always an efficient photo uploader. i can always blog very soon the next day after our outing. (*laughs*) Speaking of our outing, this is so far our very first clique outing for this semester. To be exact, an official one. For those who have been following my blog, you would have seen familiar faces of my clique peeps in earlier entries tagged with birthday celebration. For the previous few months of this semester, we were also having fun together, but its more towards birthday surprises and celebration rather than an outing. Even if there is, we were busy shopping away for presents, haha...

i managed to satisfy my cravings for singing yesterday. Sang a whole lot of songs. I have been telling myself after watching autumn's concerto that during my next visit to k-box, 《我爱他》,《幸运草》,《亲人》and《你为什么说谎 》 would definitely be under my songs selection list. A pity i could only sing 2 out of the 4 songs 'cause the KTV songs list doesn't have all four. Still, it was a great feeling having to sing despite only the two songs.

Oh no, i just realized i didn't capture any photo together with shu wen. i'm still waiting for the full clique photo in her camera:)

It's wonderful knowing flowers. We seem to have endless fun whenever we are together. Joking and crapping; our forte! Our minds are always occupied with new outing ideas, new surprises for individual's birthday. To sum it all up, i would use this word to describe our clique- creative. A uniquely creative clique!:D

Cheers to our one year anniversary friendship! it's been a year... ...

Freedom is nearing

Awwwww! Screams* First rhetoric paper is down and with the second one (Reading in Children's Literature) which is also the last one coming thursday, we'll be exam-free for this semester. The second semester is coming to an end soon; time flies... Loads of fun are awaiting us during this upcoming holiday. i'm very looking forward to the june period which is going to be the most happening part of my holiday if everything goes all well as planned. My friends and I have long made plans for a short holiday trip to bangkok during this coming june period. we've even gotten the flights and hotel booked in advance. However, we know that bangkok is in a chaos state currently and definitely we would not want to take the risk. i do hope that we can successfully change to another destination; chaos-free. Perhaps we may consider some sight-seeing, scenery-captivating places or nice beach areas in other countries.

Not just that, i'll also be attending cousin's wedding this coming june 11th. Mum has hinted me to rent a car and drive the family over to the wedding venue. Of course, i would very much love to. i'm all out to get my hands on the steering wheel once again!

Following up next, i'll be involved in a 2D1N camp, a june holiday special programme organised by a centre. So, nightingale facilitator, here i come! My buddy is joining me in this time round's event as well. Excited. There's still many more activities left unmentioned but most importantly, this upcoming four months holiday is a great opportunity for me to catch up with all my good friends. i miss you guys!!!♥♥♥ Hope you all are doing fine ya'.

Last paper to go! Let's strive for the best!:D

(P.S. By the way flowers, is the kbox outing after our last paper still on this coming thursday? *laughs*)

Stress Workloads=.=

Perhaps this is a norm when it usually gets closer towards the end of another semester. I would say that this semester is passing especially fast. In the blink of an eye, we're now in the month of march 2010. After about 8 months of university school life, i would consider myself settling quite well in this new environment, just that stress isn't avoidable. Last semester was stressful for i had 5 modules to handle. This semester isn't as easy as well all thanks to this particular module (ALS101=> Academic and Education Discourse Skills) which requires higher order thinking. i have a report for this which is due in april. Currently right now, i'm in the midst of collating my questionaires done by friends. Another chinese report of mine is almost done for the drafting part. i will proofread it again after i've transferred it over to my lappy. i hope the word count doesn't exceed more than 5000 words if not it seems really lengthy. As you can see, tons and tons of workloads! well, but i try not to stress myself out too much if not i would not be able to handle things well. Things are going quite alright for me here, so not to worry! i'm doing fine:D

i'm always finding ways to motivate myself. One such is the upcoming 3 months long semester breaks which i'm going to have soon after my exam. This never fail to motivate me. Awaiting me are my thailand trip, meet-ups with different groups of friends and many other activties lining up behind. lf i will to start counting down now, it will soon be due in another one month plus. For those who are with me, we gonna' be free soon! So, hang on there peeps!

Stay CHEERFUL each day!
Tomorrow will be a better day.

(P.S Thank you all those who've helped me with the survey.)

Take a Breather!

Finally, it's the arrival of this long-awaited recess week! Time to take a breather! Well, but not exactly free from stress and tons of workloads, this recess week is meant for me to rush my upcoming due assignment reports and to participate on the online discussion for e-learning...There's simply so much things to do ever since i stepped foot into university life. Life isn't as easy-going as what my teacher and other seniors said in the past...Though timetable may be flexible and i do have few "off-days" from school this semester, but in actual fact, these are taken up by my tons of workloads! One assignment report for a module is currently down and i still have few more to go...Not to mention my presentation and semester exam...BUSY BUSY LIFE! Still, i would try to balance my life; study and play hard at the same time. Once again, i'm looking forward to another friend's birthday party this coming tuesday! lt's gonna' be a vegetarian barbecue! (Sounds nice', didn't try it before...) Shu wen's choir concert coming up too! Two days of my recess week will be reserved for PLAYTIME. As for the other days, i guess i will be spending my time at home, rushing out my assignments! GET MOTIVATED! I have to.^.^

STAY MOTIVATED!
Give in my 100% at work! No more procrastination! Work towards my goal!
