Multiple shots, aha's ritual norm. Unglam shots, inevitable...well, but to maintain a good image of ourselves, i should try to avoid uploading them here (*laughs*) It's another aha's outing once again last sunday. Initially was planning to go zoo with them after my tuition, fortunately it didn't turn out as planned. i gave it a miss in the end. Anyway, that's not just how i'm going to spend my sunday after tuition idling and lazing around back at home. Initial plan was changed due to some unforseen circumstances. The rest of them did continue their zoo trip and me and dor changed to meeting them in the evening for a dinner instead. we indulged in high tea session once again, this time round more like a night-tea session! haha. Mocha Chips New*, my favourite at mc cafe now. Once again, it's not a full clique outing. One is missing in action!!
And as you can see the above two combined pictures are taken with different gadgets. The first combined piece was taken with my samsung omnia II and the second one was by deb's lumix digital camera. Definitely, the turn-out of the photo and its quality will be different between using a camera phone and a digital camera. Speaking of digitial camera, i've this urge to buy a new one for myself. i'm disappointed with my old lumix camera for the quality of photos isn't up to standard. You can usually see i don't bring my camera out most of the times. Any good recommendations? (Actually i do have one in mind, but it's a bit expensive.) Thank you to this kind person who helped us take this group photo at mc cafe that day. We were having second thoughts on whether to approach this man here to help us take a picture 'cause he was busy chatting away with his girlfriend and we wouldn't want to disturb their lovey-dovey couple chats. But still, in the end, we approached him...
i'm satisfied with this group snapshot, with everyone showing our radiant smile, haha...
Time flies, May is coming to an end soon and june is drawing near. Anyway, i would most probably not be going for my bangkok trip. We've asked for a refund from jetstar airlines and the hotels in bangkok. Fortunately, the hotels in bangkok acceded to our request and they will refund us our money within a month, phew. And for jetstar airlines, most probably we will get our refund back either by vouchers or full cash refund payment. Of course, cash will be better! i just hope the money will be credited into my bank account soon...in a month's time... Seriously it's such a hassle to cancel your trip when the country that you're intending to go happens to be in a chaos state. Dampens one's spirit. Luck just isn't on our side. i would say we're just not fated to go bangkok together. However on the flipside of the coin, to think it positively, giving this trip a miss would serve us better rather than risking our life by making a trip there. Well, there will be plenty of chances in future...
More activities coming up the next two days. Gonna' meet deb tml to try out The Coffee Club's new promotion of Tea- DeLites at Raffles Place, Just Acia's(probably) dinner during the night along with xiaoli as well as coming's thursday wild wild wet with sok and deb:D Saturated with happiness!!! Looking forward:)
That's for now. Signing off from this entry... Stay happy and cheerful always, my motto continues. Enjoy life to your fullest, peeps!
Finding a good ambience place to chill out along with a freshly brewed cup of coffee in starbucks during the night with companion of your good friend was an enjoyable night spent on that wednesday. Somehow, Deb and me felt that we were like enjoying taitai's life for once...(*laughs*)
Without pleasure and enjoyment, life would be arid. Enjoy life to the fullest and don't waste every little bit of it. For me, my goal of life isn't like ultimate wealth, a massive amount of stuffs or having the most perfect car and house in reality. More importantly is to savour and enjoy every moment of life in pursuit of fun and happiness. So long as i'm doing things that i enjoy doing or to my interest, i'm contented. Every single meet-up session with friends matters a lot to me. i'm someone who treasure family ties and friendship a lot. i love heart-to-heart talks with friends when we're out and that's the most memorable part that will be deeply etched in my mind after our outings. And i'm thankful that most of my friends are those who belonged to the same category as me, who are there to share my woes, to lend me a listening ear and we feel very comfortable with one another, talking almost everything under the sun.
That's life to me and i'm feeling contented with my current status quo. i'm quite a blessed girl.
That's for now.PJ's Masquerade (12th May)
Venue: NUS University Cultural Centre (UCC)
Time: 7.30pm
What's wrong with the snapshots captured outside UCC?!? erm, i guess i've forgotten to use the red-eye reduction mode. My eyes seem to be burning with *inferno*, laughs! And well in another shot, i simply forgotten to turn on flashlight; thus, i look like a total black figurine! Still, these two failed-attempt shots are uploaded here simply because i like the "I" wording carved outside UCC. It's lovely. They actually have this whole statement: " I WAS HERE" right outside the entrance.
Coincidentally, apart from me and joyce who went for this pj's masquerade concert, we bumped into our juniors, tingmin and borui. It's been ages since we last saw them. OMG!!! What a coincidence! Therefore, we definitely have to leave some shots behind as memories... (They sat right behind us!)
There were dance, choir as well as drama performances. Solely from all the performing arts group. i especially like this remix hip hop dance by the dancers up on stage. They danced along with this song "sorry sorry", imitating the famous korean dance troupe, super junior's dance movements in that song. Apart from the hip hop dance, i felt that the first item up on stage, "Sama Tak Serupa" by the Malay cultural society was a unique dance cheorographed. The pj choir had their ever longest performance, lasting up to 50 mins after the intermission with the whole of second half belonging to them. They performed songs under themes like "The Lion King", " Aladdin" etc along with the alumni's segment. Bits of drama are incorporated inside, making it more lively throughout the whole "Magnificence" performance of theirs. Speaking about my own chinese drama performance, i felt that our juniors did a great job in bringing out the emotions in the individual's character. One thing i don't quite understand is why are the audience laughing most of the times during the play. It's supposed to be a sad story. i wonder whether they're making a mockery out of it simply 'cause they don't appreciate drama plays or have they really enjoyed our drama performance...
Overall, the masquerade concert was a success! A great one, i felt so. Glad to have this opportunity to return back as a senior to root for my fellow pj's juniors in their performances.
Dad, me and bro brought mum to causeway point to indulge in a sumptuous lunch. It was a late lunch though. Mum had cravings for pizza, and so, we accede to her request and went for this feista combo meal, inclusive of a crunchy cheesy bites pizza, one regular pan pizza accompanied with drinks and soup of the day. All of us went for berri sparkle instead of summer sparkle. Thirst-quenching! This new crunchy cheesy bites pizza tasted not bad. i love the cheesy part with cornflakes on it.
This was the fried dory fish i ordered. $9.90++ main course.
i really enjoyed my day. It was a good break. An opportunity for me to spend more time with my families and friends. If only it could be like this every saturday. Alright, i should not ask for that much. Actually i do feel contented helping out over at mindmatters for i've a bunch of funny colleagues over there who tends to tickle me with their lame jokes at times.
It was a carefree day spent last saturday, with no tuition, no work, free from studies stress, purely just devoting my time to my precious family and friends. I love you all. The significance of your presence.
i'm a happy girl!♥
