Take a Breather!

Finally, it's the arrival of this long-awaited recess week! Time to take a breather! Well, but not exactly free from stress and tons of workloads, this recess week is meant for me to rush my upcoming due assignment reports and to participate on the online discussion for e-learning...There's simply so much things to do ever since i stepped foot into university life. Life isn't as easy-going as what my teacher and other seniors said in the past...Though timetable may be flexible and i do have few "off-days" from school this semester, but in actual fact, these are taken up by my tons of workloads! One assignment report for a module is currently down and i still have few more to go...Not to mention my presentation and semester exam...BUSY BUSY LIFE! Still, i would try to balance my life; study and play hard at the same time. Once again, i'm looking forward to another friend's birthday party this coming tuesday! lt's gonna' be a vegetarian barbecue! (Sounds nice', didn't try it before...) Shu wen's choir concert coming up too! Two days of my recess week will be reserved for PLAYTIME. As for the other days, i guess i will be spending my time at home, rushing out my assignments! GET MOTIVATED! I have to.^.^

STAY MOTIVATED!
Give in my 100% at work! No more procrastination! Work towards my goal!

快乐和大家一起分享!

Captured a lot of snapshots at shu wen's party yesterday and i really LOVE them! All thanks to vivian's camera, so BRIGHT AND CLEAR! The two of us wore the brightest blue for the day. *Blue* was the theme set by shu wen for her 21st party, specially for our clique!

let's have some poses on the stairway. "contestant number one...followed by contestant number two and so on...mind your footsteps and pose in your own comfortable way...(*laughs*)

swOosh...i'm about to take off! (Don't doubt my *flying* skills) Muahahahahah!

Apart from the *bollywood* style with vivian, me and ling also have one other pose to show your! tada...

Innocent shu hui... she's crying for help! "Let me out, someone please!"

Random Snapshots of ME!

(Thanks to vivi for being my photographer!)

my blue collar shirt kinda matches the pool water...

as well as the calm blue sea...

As i start to *craft* out the letters on the sand...(Guess what word i was trying to write?!?)

Presenting to you, *F-L-O-W-E-R-S*. well, that's my uni's clique name!

see the strong howling wind... No doubt it's really a nice evening weather to take a stroll along the beach with the cool breeze blowing at your face. Not just that, it also MESSED up our HAIRS!!! Me and vivian really encountered a lot of difficulties capturing our snapshots... The strong wind just can't stop blowing for once...Argh! We had to stand in the direction that's against the wind. As a result, that's with the "BEFORE" and "AFTER" look... my hair is in a total mess! But well, we really enjoyed ourselves at the beach before night sets in...

it's the CNY Festive Season!

(Share the Joy)

Happy Chinese New Year to ALL! Time flies. In the blink of an eye, the tiger year is here.(ROAR`) Once again, marking the arrival of Chinese New Year! As we share this festive season with our love ones, it brings us joy, excitement and happiness:)
i'm here to blog about my first and second day of bai nian!

(This was my first day's attire to my relatives house)

First day of cny was a tiring one for me. As usual, on every 初一, my family would go visit my father side's relatives. We always have to travel from house to house. Thankful for this year, daddy drove us around to visit our relatives. We paid visits to 6 houses in a day. You can imagine how tiring it is! To make it worst, the weather was humid, making one uncomfortable.

i captured a snapshot of my brother while we were still at home...This was taken before we set off to our relatives' houses... The first house that we paid visit was somewhere near cck, very near sok's house and i was smsing her that day, joking with her i'm coming to pay her a visit! haha... Both my relatives live there, somemore it's together in the same block. Upstairs and downstairs. How convenient!

Though i have a lot of relatives over at my father's side, but we seem like *strangers*. Nothing much to talk about except wishing one another happy chinese new year and the elderlys a good health. i guess the reason is because we rarely visit them, only occasionally on chinese new year. Most of my cousins there are much older than me, and some have gotten married and even have kids. Sometimes, i ended up playing with their kids instead of catching up with them...i don't really know how to broach up a topic with them, unlike with my friends. (guess perhaps it's age gap problem) Hence, usually my 初一 is a boring one. i just sit there, with my goodies and phone as companions.

This year, our bai nian also commenced later. By then when we got back home, it was late and i was feeling really lethargic after the whole day of visitings. i just knocked out after that...

Second Day of CNY

Definitely, the second day of my bai nian is the BEST of them all:) Love it! i cliqued well with my cousins here. Though we have slightly younger cousins with us, but we hang along well with one another 'cause we grew up together as playmates since young.

This was captured when they were busy *gambling* away. They didn't realise it except for the one who is looking into my camera. i took a secret shot of them. (You guys are caught in my camera!) Not illegal gambling, alright! They're just having some fun during chinese new year. This year, i don't really have the mood to gamble. After one or two games, i quitted.

And my cousin, wei liang laughing away... (i like this candid angle shot!)

A mini video clip filmed by me while they were busy playing away...
For the first time today, i saw my cousin's boyfriend. she brought him to ah ma's house to pay a visit during chinese new year. They're getting married this coming june! Excited and looking forward to it 'cause this is my family's side here first cousin's marriage!

Why this snapshot of a car out of nowhere?!? i finally laid my hands on the steering wheel once again earlier. Borrowed it from my eldest cousin and drove it around the vicinity. lt was a good drive. Awesome hot red car!

And this was my outfit for 初二! My top is a newly bought shirt and i simply just matched it with another short pants from my wardrobe since i'm only going downstairs for bai nian, haha...My ah ma and ah gong just live directly downstairs. The reason why i like 初二 best is also partly due to this reason, convenience. i stayed there almost for the whole day. lt was a memorable chit chattie session and short *gambling* session with them earlier. Though i quitted like halfway... Spent most of the time watching them play while i captured the different snapshots in the house! lt was a lively atmosphere! My cousin was on a winning steak earlier and after she went off, my mum became the one during the night; it all depends on your luck!

Finally, we managed to have a cousins' photo together, along with our ah ma! Oh my Goodness, my cousins are tall. Can you guess where am i? one of the shortest in there. i guess one day, even my youngest cousin, yiling (the one dressed in pink) will outreach my height! She's ONLY primary four this year, imagine her having this height now...In the next few years down the road, i will become the shortest of them all...

we had kfc delivery for early dinner. For once, we forgotten what's the number to dial for kfc delivery! i texted my friend, sok and managed to get the number from her. Now i know it, it's 6222 6111. Easy to remember! Speaking of kfc, the delivery man sent us the wrong order just now. we're a bit pissed. In the end, jianrong called back and they returned us with 8 pineapple pies which they've forgotten. But in actual fact, they gave us additional 10 small pieces crispy drumlets. i love KFC popcorn chickens! Finger-Lickin' Good!
Wishing all a happy chinese new year and my family blessed with good health! Always happy, always loving as one. May this tiger year be a good one for all! Let's strive hard together in 2010!

Friend, you have to stay STRONG!

i deeply understand your feeling right now...i feel for your loss...The internal struggle in you, this tough decision that you and your family have made. Life is unpredictable, a lot of things are beyond our control. The hurt is there, but it will slowly be gone because memories of your love ones will always be with you. Friend, you'll have to stay strong. she wouldn't want to see you in this state. Live for her. Live even better from now on! i believe that she's really proud to have such a remarkable son like you! So, you'll have to strive to do even better, she'll know it.

Remember this, you ALWAYS have us as your friends who will be there for you, to support you and to go through this ordeal together with you. Any help needed, just let us know. (no worries about that, alright)

My deepest condolences here. Stay strong, friend! she'll always live in your heart.

Secret Mission Accomplished!

A surprise plan that me, vivian, pei ling, yue lian and shu hui have been planning the past few weeks before our celebration with her on the tuesday. Erm, so what's the plan for her birthday surprise? i shall fill you guys in slowly bit by bit here! A couple of weeks ago, we went to shop for her gifts somewhere in town....Combed the area a few times and managed to find something which will be her liking. Afterwhich, i started to make a birthday card for her, ready for everyone of us to sign our birthday wishes on it before the celebration with her. And tuesday's in-advance 21st birthday celebration is NONE other for our miss ribbon girl, SHU WEN! Her birthday actually falls on the 19th of feb, but since we have long prepared her gifts and surprise, we decided to celebrate with her in advance. To be exact, ten days in advance!

Birthday girl was really shocked on that day. She said it was more *shocked* than *surprised*! (*laughs*). This was because on that tuesday, the five of us secretly made our way to her hall after lesson. Our intial intention was to lure her out of her room 'cause the gate was closed and we can't just enter... As a result, pei ling and shu hui started *acting* and bluffed her to come out from her room, hoping to lure her to the gate. She really believed our *lie*. (it was meant to be a white lie) However, heaven wasn't really on our side. The worst thing was i actually remembered the wrong hall block and we felt that something was amissed after waiting outside the gate for some while...There's not even a single sight of shu wen there! Upon realizing that, we hurriedly rushed to the correct block! But still, we managed to *shock* her with this little surprise, though a tiring one, but it's memorable:)
some photos for sharing^.^
Here's one nice photo! Another full clique photo added to collection! i wanna have a shot with birthday girl, shu wen!
vivi and me:)

And NOW with funny faces...

we got birthday girl a unique planner book, a mini chocolate truffle cake as well as a top!:)

Not forgetting our d-i-y card for her! i told one of my friends that this card is rather similar to that of my another friend's birthday card which i've posted in earlier entry...This shall be the february series card, haha... Varies from month to month. Love making cards!

Hope she likes the gifts and cards. Though she found the cake a bit too chocolatey, but still, hoped she've enjoyed the birthday celebration just like what we did...

Looking forward to your chalet, shu wen!

Back to the old childhood days...

i started pondering to myself whether how long ago have i last did sandart; if i'm not wrong, the last one which i did was like ages ago, somewhere around primary school time... This piece of artwork brings back our precious memories from our lovely childhood days...once again, i managed to lay my hands on sandart and develop my creativity on it...i decided to go with a colour theme as i was doing it. Usually i would prefer more achromatic colours like black, white and grey, but on that day itself, i decide to turn it into a colourful piece of work. To make my artwork shine. The beauty of colours.

Pei ling was telling me earlier that the middle part of my sandart looks like a tower brick, the game that we used to play with our mobile phones back then... (*laughs*) Looking at it now, it really looks like the brick. In actual fact, i didn't have the intention to design it in this way. lt's just pure coincidence... Shall let my creativity run wild...

And Oya, i just received ah zhen's letter. So sweet of her to send me a new year card in advance! Chinese New Year is around the corner, in a few days' time, it will be chu xi. Time flies...

Looking forward to my steamboat reunion dinner and the yummy chinese new year's delicacies and pastries! MY HONGBAOS!!!!!! (*laughs*)

This is the card she mailed it to me. ln 2010, it's now the tiger year! Thank you for your cny wishes in advance, zhen:) Appreciated! The little tiger is soooOo cute on the card!

A little sweet thought from us...

i always love surprises! lt's always exciting and fun coming up with new ideas of surprises on friends' birthdays...The recent one which i had was on the tuesday night where me, wk and joyce went to celebrate sok's birthday. lt wasn't an on-the-spot celebration with her since she will come home late due to extended tuition time, hence, we didn't get a chance to see till her face-to-face and personally pass her the present on the day itself...Nevertheless, we could still come up with a mini surprise for her. Special thanks to her sis, sok sin; we allianced with her. Me and my friends made a trip down to her house to pass her sister the present first. Not just that, we also specially filmed a video for her. This was a random idea which i came up with. lt's rather a sweet thought. Though we are not able to celebrate with her on her BIG DAY itself, but, the video will be our PRESENCE!

This is the front and back cover of the card. As you can see there's a clench fist and a twist hand sign in sok's right and left hand respectively. There's actually a meaning behind this...(Did you guys notice it?!?) lt meant twenty; 'cause it's sok's twentieth birthday this year. i was chatting with her on the phone after she received our surprise on that tuesday night and remembered telling her that i am more looking forward towards my 21st birthday rather than my twentieth. well, but she said if i'm 21 this year, i would have nothing to look forward the next year... (*laughs*)

Anw, this was the plan for the day:

1. Allianced with her sister when sok was at work

2. Tried to fish out from sok roughly what time her tuition will end, so, we'll be able to get things done before she's back. (Only then will it be a mini birthday surprise for her!) Definitely, we'll need her sister's help, to help us "lead" her to the surprise gifts and surprise videos.

3. Last of all, after she saw the gifts and card, she will have to log on to facebook and she'll come to know everything...

Below are the three mini video clips that me, wk and joyce specially filmed for her, directly under her house block. lt's a short mini clip, with our best wishes inside for our birthday gal!

Let's hear what we have to say to her...

Glad she likes this whole mini birthday surprise from us. HIP HIP HOORAY to me, wk and joyce. we did it! Our efforts didn't go to null...

i'm going to embark on another secret mission again...
