Twilight Die-Hard Fan, That Goes Without Saying..

Given a die-hard twilight fan like me, you can totally imagine my excitement when I received the invitation to this epic finale movie screening. No words could express my joy then.. I was like "Wow, I GOT it! That's so Awesome!" Imagine if this is the LA twilight premier, I would literally have fainted from an overdose of happiness, haha. Alrighty, enough said and let's move on to the actual thing.

What's with all these CONGRATULATIONS bouquets?! To congratulate what...? Yet another joyous event?

If you've followed news on GV's Facebook page, you'll know by now Golden Village opened their 11th cinema over at City Square mall recently. This new theatre is known as the next generation cinema which houses six cinema auditoriums with a total seating capacity of 1,082. Previously before its official launch, there's even free movie screenings for selected movies in the theatre, how cool!

This round, I was fortunate enough to be one of the 50 bloggers, invited to the TWILIGHT- BREAKING DAWN PART II movie screening. I was on cloud nine when I saw the invitation email. All these years, I've been a loyal fan of twilight movie and I'm definitely not going to miss the finale part. What's more now, having the opportunity to catch this epic finale in a brand new theatre! I'm sure it's gonna' be a whole new experience!

All selected bloggers were allowed to bring along one friend and bff was my movie companion last night.
Meanwhile before the commencement of Breaking Dawn, we can't help but to cam-whore a little;)
Looking at the poster, Kristen Stewart is gorgeous! I can't wait to see her appearance in the movie later!

Have you catch Breaking Dawn Part II?

What's watching a movie without munchies?! Grab your bites(popcorns? nachos?(my favourite!)..etc) before entering the theatre!
Before entering, let's have one last shot outside the theatre and off we go inside cinema 6 for the 6.30pm show.
Pardon me for our cam-whore shots.. You know it's girls' forte!
We chose the right spot in the theatre(somewhere near the center) for a better view of the movie later. Meanwhile before the commercials were aired, the usual thing happened- Snap Snap!

This new cinema is pretty spacious. I love Golden Village's theatre because of its spacious seats and bigger screen. It's definitely worth watching a movie in a theatre for better quality(that goes without saying..), sound system and comfortable cushion seats.

Having been an avid fan of twilight all these years, it has finally come to this EPIC FINALE after a long wait. I'm sure all other fans of this show are equally as excited to catch it first hand when it's launched in theatre.
What's your favourite Twilight character?

For me, it's none other than Kristen Stewart who played Bella Swan's role in Twilight. Firstly, she's really hot and gorgeous given the same age as us. She exudes this confidence and alluring charm. Secondly, is her remarkable acting skills. Through the twilight series, you can really see the CHANGE in her every movie. From a human Bella who fell irrevocably in love with vampire Edward to the part of her struggled decision between human and vampire to her turning into a new-born vampire. The different stages of life of Bella Swan depicted in the entire story plot is truely amazing.

If you've yet to catch Twilight, I would advise you to watch from the very first movie. This way, you'll be able to see the obvious change, not just in Bella herself but also visible in other twilight characters.

In this Epic Finale, the climax towards the end really left me breathless for that few minutes. For once, I felt as though I was involved in a vampire clan's battle. I can literally feel the adrenaline rush inside me. Every scene was happening too fast in the show, my heart nearly broke with sorrow in view of the killing scenes right in front of me... I prayed hard... The Cullens have got to survive through this..

Will the Volturi make peace..?
Will Renesmee be saved..?
Will Bella, Edward or even Taylor come to any harm..?

I'm not going to be a spoiler and reveal the story here. You'll have to watch it for yourself. An eye-opening experience I would say.

Catch the trailer here.

Before I end off this post, thank you OMY.SG and GOLDEN VILLAGE for this movie screening! It was a pleasant visit to City Square's Cinema:)

Until next time,
Peace.

Mega Take-Away Offer + Bloggers' Party

You must be thinking...Hmmm another food post at this hour?! And isn't this pretty similar to that of my previous Domino's post...?!
NOT HAVING ENOUGH OF IT?!?
NEVER........
They serve the BEST pizzas ever!

Domino's Pizza is back again, inviting the bloggers for yet another sumptuous feast! How generous of the company to hold this kind of event on a regular basis. Anyway, we bloggers get to benefit from it and so do you readers too! (I'll let you know why shortly...)

We're back to the same place(over at Kovan's outlet), this time round in celebration of Domino's 3rd anniversary. In conjunction to that, Domino launched a MEGA TAKE-AWAY OFFER from 5th 'till 7th Oct so as to celebrate their special occasion. My GOODNESS!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!? It's freaking 50% OFF pizzas.

Now you get to save $11.40 per pizza. Instead of having just one, you can now go for two pizzas at one go with this great offer!

Featuring in the advertisement is my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE (CLASSIFIED CHICKEN) flavour which I'm going to recommend to you all if you're intending to order from Domino's. Thumbs Up for this! I have to admit I totally fell in love with this the first time I ate it. As mentioned in my previous post, for cheese lovers out there, you'll definitely love this to bits

Aside to Domino's Mega Take-Away OFFER, another main intention of this event is to gather the bloggers over for a party feast, at the same time witnessing some of the other bloggers who have won CASH from Domino's ranging from $200 to $1000 by participating in their bloggers' contest. Another contest will be here soon again and I'm pondering whether to take part this round... Should I...?!

Anyway, let's congratulate this BIG PRIZE WINNER HERE who walks off with $1000 cash!!!!!!
Congratulations to William!

Andddd when food's served, it was yet another round of photo takings before we could dig in. That's why many said CAMERAS 'EAT' FIRST, NOT US!-.- LOL.
Oh and did I mention...?! I finally get to try the highly raved CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE! Previously was the newly launched Caramel Sticky Dessert which was quite alright for me. This time round, few of us specially requested Domino's best seller dessert- Chocolate Lava Cake and we're so glad Domino's kind enough to offer us that too on top of caramel sticky, wheeeeeeeee! *All smiles* I'm like a little kid, craving for my dosage of chocolate indulgence! I've long wanted to try that when BFF told me it was REAL GOOD! So now, my DREAM COMES TRUEEEE, tsktsk!

You will definitely guess correctly my preference! (After all, it's already so obvious right?) Now, I wanna' know what's your preference too! Caramel Sticky Dessert OR Chocolate Lava Cake? Who's IN with me?!

After a delish yet sinful feast once again, we took a group shot together.
Congratulations to all the other winners too aside to William. I believe you can easily spot who are the ones..

Some of the other shots took with the bloggers who also attended the event that evening... Nice knowing new blogger friends!

Lastly I shall end off this post with my #ootd instapic for that evening's event

Once again, thank you OMY.SG for your invite and not forgetting DOMINO'S PIZZA for your generous treats!!!!!!

                                                             ♥GREAT FOOD, GOOD TIMES
                                                                       Until next time,
                                                                             Peace

Are You A Dessert Lover♥ ?

Food Tasting Event

At the mention of this word- "dessert", who can ever resist the temptation? Especially when it comes to
sweet indulgence like chocolate lava, caramel, hazelnut...etc, I'm simply drooling over them. Be it whether
you are full after main course, there's always room for desserts, agree much?

Recently, Domino's pizza, the world's leading pizza delivery company introduced its latest dessert
offering and I was invited for their food-tasting event, how cool! I love food-tasting as you get to taste
new launch of food ahead of others and the opportunity to indulge in a gastronomic feast. So, why not?

I was all pent-up with excitement, anticipating the commencement of the event on the day itself.
Hmmmm... what sweet surprise is Domino whipping up this time round, I thought to myself.
(Curious to find out too? Read on this post.)

The food-tasting event was held over at Kovan's Domino outlet. Though it's located at the east side which is not that convenient, but this semester has been less hectic for me and hence, I could afford the time. Be it in the midst of studies, you too need to unwind once in a while! What's more, FOOD MAKES ME HAPPY! Anyway, I arrived slightly earlier than the stipulated time and started snapping pictures of the restaurant with my phone to kill time. A pity I didn't bring along my DSLR this time round, but Iphone too can do a good job;)

Soon after the presence of all bloggers and the in-charges, the Marketing Manager of Domino's Pizza-  Linda Hassan, first started off with her welcome address, introducing Domino's pizza company and most importantly their new after-meal indulgence- The Caramel Sticky Dessert♥ After which, we bloggers had  the luxury to indulge in a savoury selection of pizzas. How generous of Domino to treat us to a pizza feast before the ultimate dessert.
Enough said, now let me tempt you guys with all the food photos. ARE YOU READY?!?
One pizza was served after another. First up was their best seller pizza- Classified Chicken. First bite of it and oh my goodness, this is damn awesome. For cheese lovers, you'll fall in love with this pizza. I can feel the cheese melting in my mouth, loves ♥ For those who love BBQ flavour, you can go for the BIG BBQ which comes with succulent chicken breast and of course topped with BBQ sauce.
If you're a beef lover, you can go for Meatzza. Not only do you get to savour chicken ham and sausage, there's also beef pepperoni in the pizza. Yummy! Enjoying best of both worlds- A combination of chicken and beef. Also, one of my favourites is the Chilli Chicken thin crust pizza. I love thin crust pizzas in particular because of the crispy part, as though you're eating biscuits.

That's not all.

Check out other flavours we had that evening!
Ultimate Hawaiian- Roasted Chicken, Shredded Chicken, Pineapple chunks and Fresh Mushrooms,
 topped with BRAND NEW sauce.
Chicken Temptation- Smoked Chicken Breast, Chicken Ham, Red & Green Pepper
Prawn Sensation- Prawns, marinated in Italian herbs and spices, Spinach, Cherry Tomatoes and
Onions, topped with BRAND NEW sauce.

You must be thinking what a pizza feast! I know right! OH NO, we're like gluttons for the night!
Aside to the variety of pizzas, we also enjoyed side orders like 'Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings', "Garlic
Cheese Onion Rings', 'Breadstix', 'Twisty Bread' and "Crazy Chicken Crunchies". Of all, my
favourite two are Spicy Chicken wings and Crazy Chicken Crunchies

Now, the HIGHLIGHT of the day! Presenting to you Domino's new after-meal indulgence, the
 CARAMEL STICKY DESSERT

No doubt we were full after savouring the pizzas and side orders, but still, we will make space for this
ultimate dessert. Previously the Chocolate Lava Cake was selling hot, and now with this new dessert
launch, I believe this too will cater to majority dessert lovers out there.

Initially, my first impression of this dessert was that it would be too sweet for my liking. Yes I do admit I love desserts but not all, especially those that are too sweet. After taking my first bite, I took a liking to this Caramel Sticky Dessert. The sweetness is just nice for me and I really love the aftermath caramel taste that lingers in my mouth. Thumbs Up for this! You seriously have to try this some days... It's 6.80 for one.

"One bite into this new creation and you'll be mesmerized.", no qualms in agreeing to this description.

It was an awesome evening mingling around with the rest of the bloggers in the midst of our indulgence. Thank you Omy.sg and Domino's Pizza for this invite. Lastly, I shall end off this post with a group photo.

That's it for now.

Stay Tune for More.

DIY Crack Nail Art

You may be wondering this is a rare post 'for i hardly blog about self DIY nail art. No worries, you're not at the wrong site. It's Joanne here. And YES, I'm into this kind of crack nail art recently. What's more, the below one is of the combination of my favourite colours- Black & White. Nice not? haha.
Happened to chance upon this newly introduced crack nail polish at Faceshop one fine day while shopping for a friend's birthday gift. In the end, i couldn't resist the temptation not to get one for myself. It was love at first sight in fact. The sales assistant offered to try it out on one of my fingers to show me the effect. It was plain awesome when the black nail polish cracks instantly after you apply.
Photobucket
Cool isn't it? Is that your style?
The above design was done up using three different nail polish colours. Firstly, i applied the white nail polish as a base coat. (Note: Without the base coat, the crack nail polish will not be able to crack. That's how interesting it is!) Next, is to apply the second layer over the base coat, in which, my black crack nail polish. The last step is to give it a matte finish by applying a transparent glittery polish colour. As easy as that!
Of course you can also try applying other base colours like GOLD, RED....etc. It might turn out nice, who knows! So, HAPPY D-I-Ying!
Photobucket
This is my first attempt in D-I-Ying, well but definitely not my last. In fact, I've just purchased a menicure deal with deb. It's going to be cool experiencing 3D nail art and tip extension. All just for the price of 25SGD after the discount. Thinking of doing it after exams as the validity period is till December. I guess I'll probably do it when nearing my 21st party. Anticipating 3D Nail Art!
That's for now.

Visume, not Resume!

Sponsored Advertorial

Do you know how much first impression matters? When it comes to a job interview, image is of utmost importance. The way you presented yourself during an interview can possibly leave a deeply etched memory in your employer's mind. That's the first impression of you captured by them.

When it comes to defining "impression", it's not about the appearance(in terms of facial looks), but rather the image you portrayed. How well are you able to carry out yourself? Definitely, companies are looking out for X-factors in employees. The confidence level that one exudes is going to be a bonus point. Aside to that, appropriate attire is paramount as it upholds one's image and credibility. It goes to show that one takes the job and interview process seriously and on top of that, it shows the RESPECT to your employers.

Hence, it's better to DRESS UP than down.

Some of the Dos and Don'ts we have to take particular note

You can refer to the article
here:

NOTE:

Prevview.com has officially declared a Visume war In Singapore. You may be wondering, what's this Visume War ALL ABOUT?!?

Photobucket

Have you heard of the Visume War Battle?

Unlike any other video showdown, this war appeals to every jobseeker's most basic struggles, allowing one to stand out from the sea of jobseekers with similar talents and credentials.

Calling upon interested participants between the age of 18-35 years old, this is one great opportunity for you to enter this professional field battle, showcase your talent via this platform.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Fret not, you're not the first one to do so! Many have participated in this war zone. Check out one interesting Visume below.

As seen from the above video, John may appear to be an Ah Beng, well, but he sold us with his dead pig. First and foremost, let's talk about his attire. First impression of him judging from his attire is pretty good as he is smartly dressed in this video resume. Although some of his actions appeared to be typical "Ah Beng" of that in Singapore, he managed to pull it off with his confidence level. Secondly, he is able to prove himself to his employers with his experiences, dedication and degree attained for Finance & Economics and i feel that John has good interpersonal skills which will aid him in this job. However, one thing to note is if John gets the job, he will have to take special note to some of his actions which people still see him as an Ah Beng. He has to further improve on that.

Can you perform better than him?

There are few more good Visumes as seen from the war zone site. One simple entry caught my attention. Under most viewed, we've one participant Daniel Ho Sheng who is able to exude the confidence as seen from his Visume. Despite not much of a creativity in filming and editing, i can see his professionalism and with his eloquence, i believe he will be able to handle the PR and communication line if he's IN for this job.

Apart from having the most important factor - CONFIDENCE, sometimes, a little creativity will just do the trick if you're someone who's into the creative line(eg. advertisement companies). I'm sure they need potential people who are able to develop their creativity in this career line.
You can also view directly as seen from the above print screen page- war zone (view entries) for other participants' visumes.

Photobucket

This is one rare opportunity not to miss! The chance has been given, it's up to your own calling now! As mentioned earlier, Visume War on Prevview.com serves as a platform for you to showcase your hidden talents. Step forth and bravely express your self. You might be the ONE companies are in search for.
No harm giving it a try though... It's a experience afterall.
What's more, $10,000 worth of attractive prizes awaits you. Job positions/vacancies available for you too! Come On NOW! Enter this battle field.

How to register?Simply have to fill up your particulars in the form above which can be found under the registration section in Visume Wars.

With Prevview's Video Resumes(Visumes), you can:
  • Present and showcase your BEST SELF.
  • Express why you should be hired.
  • Entice your employer to know you BETTER.

Channel 8's private screening

Channel 8's Private Screening- C.L.I.F

Always, i've been an avid fan of Channel 8's drama shows since young and would never fail to catch the drama promptly at 9pm every weekday. Currently on air is this "The In-Laws(麻婆斗妇)" with my favourite star-Rui en, starring in the show. As most should have known by now, there's also this upcoming star-studded drama titled "C.L.I.F(警徽天职)" right after the end of 麻婆斗妇. Judging from the advertisements, you know that this is definitely a MUST watch show 'for alone the short trailers aired on tv are simply thrilling and exciting.

Once again, i'm so honoured to be able to receive this exclusive invite, this time round from Channel 8 to attend the private screening of C.L.I.F last Friday. Having this rare opportunity to watch the highly anticipated drama show ahead of others is really cool and i'm thankful to Channel 8 for selecting me as one of their 20 bloggers to cover this exciting event. As you know that i'm someone who is interested in this kind of police investigative thriller show, you can imagine my excitement for the whole of that week, anticipating the arrival of friday's event then.
Photobucket
Photobucket
The event was held at Sinema Old School.
For this private screening, i was able to bring along a friend and sok was my companion for the day. Sinema Old School is located somewhere at a hilltop and huff and puff we made our way up this really long stretch of staircase before reaching our destination. The crowd was there way before us. Mainly the fan clubs and few other bloggers. well, but we're not late! haha.
Photobucket
The theatre is located at Level 2 and we were barred from entry till about 7.30pm when it is nearing the event's commencement time. Meanwhile, we proceeded into an air-conditioned shop whereby we get to exchange our coupons for popcorns and drinks. The whole atmosphere feels as though we're going into the cinema to catch a movie minutes later...

Bloggers had the priviledges to take the first two row seats whereas those fan clubs took the seats behind us. It was definitely a good view from my center seat! Some of the fanclubs as seen from the below photos: Rebecca's, Joanne's, Elvin's...etc. That's not all. There are more to it.
Photobucket

Photobucket

The drinks and gourmet popcorns we got from the shop. Thanks for the munchies! Good combination to go along with a theatre show.

Photobucket

And now, a shot of me with my gourmet popcorns:)

Photobucket

The event commenced at about 8pm. First on stage is definitely the host before the introduction of casts. And we have got Ben Yeo as our host for the day! He's a funny chap! we were entertained by him before the main casts of the show entered. Ben took a quick look around the entire theatre and he noticed the different fan clubs coming to support their respective idols. Just then, Elvinology exclaimed: “我们要黄俊雄!” Ben replied saying that “不要以为黄俊雄没有来,等一下你们就不尖叫!我注意你们很久了!”(Haha). He also mentioned if they want Elvin Ng, he can be seen in the show later! LOL.

Soon, we welcomed the arrival of the main casts with applause. First entered was Tay Ping Hui, followed by Joanne Peh, Chris Tong, Aileen Tan, Rayson Tan and then Romeo Tan. The artistes line-up for the day! A pity Elvin was not there. i would love to see him in person.
Photobucket
The casts introduced themselves and a general description of the the show. There were some humourous contents in between. Such like Aileen Tan who mentioned that we have to support this show of theirs, a little support will do if not they "没得捞" (Haha). If i'm not wrong, Rayson Tan also mentioned "Power Rangers" who referred to the team, they as the police investigative officers in the show. It was entertaining throughout this short casts introduction session. Afterwhich, the celebrities proceeded to the back row along with the host, took their seats and all ready to watch this 45minutes' first episode (minus the commercial breaks) with the audience.

Photobucket

C.L.I.F. stands for "Courage", "Loyalty", "Integrity" and "Fairness", which are the core values of the Singapore Police Force. It is a collaboration with the Singapore Police Force that aims to create a drama of unprecedented realism which helps viewers understand how police officers operate in their workforce. Judging from the advertisements and poster boards, the trailers and the photos are simply thrilling and realistic that you ought not to miss it! The first episode started out in Thailand and it was about riots. Scenes of riots that occurred first in Thailand, then in Singapore. Explosive bombs, fights, tactical assault vehicles(shiny red trucks)...were featured. How real can all these be! Just so convincing!

Apart from that, we have to give credits to our dear artistes for their remarkable acting skills. I believed that they had put in a lot of efforts, undergone tough trainings in the police unit in order to portray their individual roles well. This filmed drama wouldn't be a successful one without a good script, sound effects and animations, most importantly, marvellous acting skills from our celebrities. For a moment, I feel as though the main casts who appeared in the first episode of the show are REAL police investigative officers in reality. That's how good they can be! Everything is so real and convincing!

Anyway, Elvin is a funny one when he appeared in episode one and he took on a different character this time round. Well, but no doubt he's a policeman himself in the show. I'm not going to reveal the entire thing here. You shall watch to find out for yourself!

Don't miss this show, seriously!

No videos and photography were allowed during the show. Nevertheless, you can still watch the opening and the different trailer segments below.

Trailer Launch #3

After the 45minutes' show, the celebrities were invited back on stage, this time round to our priviledges, for we get to capture photos of them for the next few minutes. Everyone including me was busy snapping away. Check out my snapshots below.

Joanne posed for me. How nice of her!:)

That's not the end to it. Apart from watching the first episode, there's also a Q & A session right after that whereby 8 lucky winners will get to walk away with some goodies. My friend and I were really fortunate to be one of the lucky winners. The host, Ben Yeo asked both of us these questions respectively. "What does C.L.I.F stands for?" & "At the riot scene in Thailand, what did Ping Hui say before he deployed the baton?". Mine was the harder one. When the question was first being asked, it stumped the whole audience. No one could really answer it except Tay Ping Hui himself as that's one of his lines in the script. The host was kind enough to say out the answer once, then he picked someone to recite the answer after him. I decided to give it a go and in the end i got it! Woots! Thank you Ben Yeo:)

Goodies brought back.
Photobucket
Love this C.L.I.F diary book. It seems like a limited edition!
Photobucket
Interesting huh?! This turns out to be a USB mouse. So useful!

After the entire thing, we could also take photos with the celebrities. A pity some of them were blurred and i missed the chance to take photos individually with Joanne Peh and Tay Ping Hui.(Though in the past, i did take once with both of them... that was like ages ago, lol.)

More photos below. Happy browsing:D
